The Registered Traveler program is designed to improve the airport security screening process by helping the government identify passengers that are not a risk to the system and allowing those passengers to go through a more expedited security screening process at airports. This is done through a voluntary process where passengers can have their identities verified through biometric technology and cleared through a government threat database.  Approved travelers will be positively identified at the airport through a biometric technology and will be able to take advantage of the more expedited screening process.
